Configuring and Monitoring HANA and Sybase database from SOLMAN




Prerequisite: You need administrative password or similar user who having administrator rights of database.

Steps to configuring monitoring dashboard in SOLMAN
Login to SOLMAN system and execute tcode: DBACOCKPIT











It will redirect you to web browser GUI. Click on switch to SAPGUI.






















It will redirect you to below page. Here you need to configure you system in System Landscape => System Configuration => Add.






Fill below details to add DB connection in SOLMAN.





SYSTEM: SID of DB
Remote Database: Select Database Connection check box.
To add Database Connection click on create button.





It will redirect you to new screen.



Fill above details:


Connection Name: description of your connection.
Database System:  Select type of database




Connection Maximum:3

Connection Optimum: Left it blank
Select ‘Permanent Connection’ check box
Provide User ID and password.
Provide DB Parameter value and save it.

In Administration Data: Select ‘Collect Space and Performance History Data’ check box.

System data tab should be automaticaly capture data once you create and selet database connection.



Save the details.
Now your system should be appear in system configuration and status should be green.




Select your system as shown below.


Once you select system you will get message ‘Database connection PO PRoduction established successfully’.



Monitoring database form SOLMAN.

Once you established successful connection you will able to see Database administration screen you can monitor all SAP database here.
Go to Database Administration => select Performance => System Activity It will open new window. Then select dashboard here you can do complete database monitoring like overview, error logs, space etc.



Here you can do complete database monitoring.
